Creating visual content is becoming increasingly important. Think of Social Media, but also other communication tools such as infographics, newsletters, white papers and vlogs. Research has shown that 90% of the information sent to the brain is visual. It stands out and creates more engagement with your target audience. In this blog, you will find 5 tools for creating and sharing visual content.
Canva
Canva is one of the best-known design tools. This is because you can do all sorts of things with this programme. From editing photos to creating infographics and from creating gifs to giving presentations. Do you use the free version? Then the programme offers fewer features. However, you will have access to some of the templates, icons and photos. It is also possible to upload your own icons and photos. You can use Canva on your laptop or install the app on your mobile.
Vimeo
Has your company recently had a corporate video made? Then publish it on your website using the tool Vimeo. Like YouTube, this is a video platform where you can upload and share videos for free, but a big advantage of Vimeo is that website visitors do not get to see video suggestions. In addition, they do not see any ads. So very user-friendly! The free subscription allows you to upload up to 25GB per year and view key video statistics.
Giphy
GIFs really only consist of a few seconds of image without sound, but can say a lot. Because of this, it is often used on social media. Think of WhatsApp, Facebook and TikTok. Giphy is a search engine that lets you find animated GIFs and GIPHY stickers. There is also the option to create your own gifs. This way, you ensure more reach and engagement on your socials.
Adobe Creative Cloud
Creative Cloud from Adobe covers Adobe's main apps. It is quite pricey, but actually indispensable for marketers. So you can use Photoshop and Lightroom for (post)editing photos and images to your liking. Illustrator and InDesign, on the other hand, focus mainly on designing publications. Think of web pages, logos and infographics. In addition, you can easily edit videos using Premiere Pro. In total, the package consists of more than 20 creative programmes.
Stock images
Sometimes it is necessary to use a free or paid stock image for a blog or social media post, for example because you don't have your own images. There are many websites that offer these kinds of (free) images. Examples include Pexels, Shutterstock, Freepik, Unsplash, Pixabay, Adobe Stock and PikWizard. The disadvantage of this type of image is that it is not distinctive and personal.
